well, the progression of england to the round-of-16s as winner of group B was a piece of exciting as well as long predicted news, yet not quite to what i expect their way of progression to go.

DRAW?

i thought joe cole and gerrard did extremely well.

joe cole was kept so busy the whole night. both crouch and gerrard saved from the first half in fear of another yellow card. although it's darn true that sven thinks that he has rooney back again and thus can dump crouch aside. lampard was like so mild. he too fears the card. and poor owen. i saw the dull look on his face before the match started. he seemed so down. then, in less than 2mins into the game, he injured himself. awwwws!

anyway, a draw wasn't really at all anticipated. especially when joe cole scored so beautifully in the first half.

disaster struck when the second half commerced. sweden's marcus allback scored. arsehole! lol.

we received a fresh gerrard somewhere in the 70th minute of the game and sent off a fuming rooney. and the choice was proven correct! gerrard scored!

it's now england vs sweden, 2-1.

but an arsehole had to score another goal and equalized the results. freak!

nevermind. i'm still glad that england's progression as winner of group B got them away from clashing with both germany and argentina.

i'm sure no one wants to see them meet each other in such an early part of the game uh?
