all of a sudden, i, elaine ho, someone who freaks the risk of being an entrepreneur, FEEL like setting up a cafe of my own. LOLS. this is like "what-a-joke"? hahas.
ling had that idea/concept too larhs, but i told her to think it thoroughly through for it's gonna cost a minimum of 30k to maybe a maximum of 50k for the launch of a cafe and to get through the first three "LOW" months in singapore. hahas. MONEY!!!!!
but, i just felt like, if i had the capital or something like that, i would go ahead and have a try. a cafe that caters to those busy office workers breakfast, those quick time lunch hours lunch, those tai-tais hi-tea, and of course, dinner.
so i'll be pretty busy 24/7. hahas. and probably i wouldn't want to open my shop on a monday. the reason is simply because, people tend to "over-play" on sunday nights and oversleep. thus, they can forsake breakfast and due to that, my shop might not have any income that day. hahas. and yes. monday shall be the rest day! hahas.
and i want to open my shop in the heartlands! so that every sunday, hopefully, i can see happy families flocking to my cafe for either breakfast, lunch, hi-tea or dinner. soo blissful! =D
i'll focus so much on my menu! because, as a heartlander, i guess i can give lotsa opinions on my customers' taste. and there shall be a wide variety of food, which requires minimum ingredients.
eg. i can make use of tomato to make pizza, spaghetti, baked rice, etc.
plus, the price would be very economical. everyone knows how expensive it is and sinful to be dining in a posh fine dining restaurant. also, the prices of foods at foodcourts are rising. at times, i'd rather have fast food as the price is almost equivalent. hahas.
with this mindset, i would set my food prices slightly higher than foodcourts, and definitely lower than fast food joints. (i have my rent to worry about too okie.) lols.
the decor, the ambience must be perfect! able to blend in for all times of the day. of course, there'll definitely be a newspaper stand in the morning. a free reading corner, and one for the sales of newspapers, magazines, etc. don't anyone know that you can earn alot selling newspapers? hahas!
and for a start, i'll install ceiling fans instead of air-con. because, if my customers feels too comfy with the air-con and wants to sit longer, and i lose another paying customer due to that, i'd be very crossed. hahas! but i'll make sure the ceiling fans are enough to keep the place cool larhs.
whatever the case, if only i have the capital. hahas! SHAREHOLDERS, INVESTORS anyone? lol. i'm really keen. once business starts and all, you'll take a deep breath and say to yourself proudly, WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! weee*
another dream.
